Kuwaiti FM meets Turkish Parliament speaker

Kuwait’s Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah met on Thursday Speaker of the Grand Turkish National Assembly Mustafa Sentop, on the occasion of his official visit to Ankara, Turkey.

Sheikh Dr Ahmad headed his accompanying delegation to chair the second session of the KuwaitiTurkish committee for cooperation in Ankara.

During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations, besides ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields.

From the Kuwaiti side, the meeting was attended by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Turkey Ghassan AlZawawi, General Consul in Istanbul Mohammed Fahad Al-Mohammed, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for the Minister’s Office Affairs Advisor Ahmad Al-Shuraim, Deputy Foreign Minister Assistant for Europe Affairs Counsellor Mohammad Hayati, and some Ministry’s officials.

Meanwhile, Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu held on Wednesday a dinner banquet in honor of visiting Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation.

The Kuwaiti minister is paying an official visit to Turkey where he and his Turkish counterpart will head the meeting of the joint KuwaitiTurkish committee on Thursday.

During the banquet, the two sides reviewed all issues that concern the two friendly countries and the regional and international developments.

The joint committee will discuss enhancing and developing the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Earlier in the day, the Turkish foreign ministry said that the two sides would discuss means of deepening cooperation between the two countries and sharing views on the regional and international developments. (KUNA)
