KUWAIT CITY, April 13: The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait HE Sibi George called on Dr Mash’aan Mohammed Mash’aan Al-Otaibi, Minister of Electricity, Water, Renewable Energy & Social Affairs & Community Development, Kuwait and discussed bilateral ties; ways of enhancing cooperation in various fields including water management, renewable energy and matters related to Indian Diaspora.

Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait in a press release has called on Indians living and working in Kuwait to beware of fraudulent calls.
The press release said, it has been brought to the attention of embassy that some unscrupulous individuals are posing as Embassy officials with a view to extract money. These calls are being made by fraudsters/scamsters by cloning even embassy’s landline numbers to establish their fake credentials.
These individuals may at times provide certain personal particulars to make their claims sound genuine. In recent weeks there has been an increase in the number of such complaints received by the Embassy.
All Indian nationals in Kuwait are hereby informed that the Embassy never requests for any such payments, nor for money transfers through telephone calls or through unauthorized means, nor will ask for your banking credentials/credit card details etc.
Established processes and procedures are in place in respect of various services provided by the Embassy, which are clearly laid out on the Embassy’s official website (http://www. indembkwt.gov.in/).
Irrespective of how genuine these calls appear to be, all concerned are advised to exercise utmost caution and not to fall prey to any fraudulent attempts. They may report such calls, if any, to Embassy of India at hoc.kuwait@mea.gov.in.
