‘Jordan’s 100th ’versary opportunity to draw inspiration, learn lessons & face challenges’
KUWAIT CITY, April 13: The Jordanian Ambassador to Kuwait, HE Saqr Abu Shatal said the 100th anniversary of the founding of the kingdom gives an opportunity for young generations to learn about what parents and grandparents have built over the past century, draw inspiration from lessons and the ability to face challenges with will and determination, which will help them to move forward.
Ambassador Abu Shatal said in a press statement on April 11, 1921, the Emirate of Transjordan was established, which took the name ‘The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’ on May 25, 1946, and on November 21, 1920, Prince Abdullah bin Al Hussein bin Ali arrived in the city of Maan, to establish the kingdom and become the first king.
He went on to say, “April 11 is a national day in Jordan and the postal authority this year (2021) issued a commemorative stamp to celebrate the occasion.”
Abu Shatal indicated the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Jordanians in Kuwait celebrated the centenary in a very special way and congratulated King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein and his Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah and all the sons of the homeland, renewing the era loyalty and belonging to the Hashemite leadership and their country, Jordan.
The statement read: “100 years, praise be to God, and the country enjoys security, stability, generosity and support for our nation, 100 years of glory and the Great Arab Revolution, 100 years full of stories of pride and dignity witnessed by pure blood sacrifices, 100 years of good governance and honorable stances, 100 years of glory and unrelenting will, truth, constants, 100 years of renaissance that are still present and the achievements are witness, and 100 years of people’s solidarity behind the wise Hashemite leadership.
