Art of speaking with confidence depends on many criteria: Buzbar
KUWAIT CITY, July 8: The certified trainer in strategic planning and human development, Dr. Ahmed Buzbar said the art of speaking with confidence depends on many criteria that anyone who intends to master this art must rely on.
During an interactive lecture organized by the Studies and Consultation Club under the slogan ‘The
Art of Speaking with Confidence’ last night on the Clubhouse app, Buzbar set a sequence of steps that should be followed in order for a person to be a tactful speaker, and said “First of all you must know the topic you will talk about, determine the target audience, and give an example that we at the Club House do not know who the audience is, but we know the number of attendees and the names, some of which may be pseudonyms.”
He pointed out the audience has four specific patterns that they do not deviate from, the first of which is the materialistic human pattern that will not interact with the speaker and will not believe what he says unless he is given tangible evidence of the truth and its applicability on the ground; the second is the rationalist who is concerned with the importance of the topic and wants benefits, and therefore the materialistic person asks ‘what’ and the rational person asks ‘why’, and the third is the implementer who searches for the implementation mechanism and for training to implement the subject on the ground.
He pointed out that the fourth type is the most difficult, and it is the ‘meditator’ who, when he hears the speech, meditates on it and thinks, as he needs feelings and fantasies and loves the side talk.
Buzbar called on those who want to master the art of speaking to read the audience during the selection of the topic and to know the target audience through this talk. It is also necessary to search for updated and non-circulated information, with the speaker’s experience, advice and directions, and the link between information during speaking.
He pointed out the necessity of setting goals for the speaker and simplifying the information, which is an art that needs training and acquired skill, so that if you succeed in setting examples, you will succeed in the subject.
He added that there must be sound engineering, with layers and speed, and he said that one of the skills of a good voice is to remain silent in certain places. He also called for a lot of ‘rehearsals’ before speaking and not relying on the ability to be carried away, in addition to writing down ideas that will make the speaker tidy for the topic that is being spoken.
