-

KUWAIT CITY, July 17: According to high-level sources in the Civil Service Commission (CSC), a total of 3,108 citizens recently registered in the central employment system, reports Al-Qabas daily.

They stressed the need for coordination among the various employment sectors in the country in order to find appropriate alternatives to employ national cadres, especially in the private sector.

The sources explained that the last day for registration in the central employment system was June 25. The order of searching for work appeared for those who registered on July 9, according to which the priority of appointment in each specialty is determined.

Most of those who registered in the recent period are university graduates - 1,551 male and female citizens - with bachelor’s degrees in various disciplines. The number of diploma holders who registered are 589 male and female citizens. About 330 citizens with secondary-level certificates and 638 citizens with certification of intermediate level and below had registered.

The nomination mechanism used in the past few years differs from the current one, which has contributed to reducing the waiting periods for job seekers. The nomination is no longer in the form of batches, but is done on a daily basis. As soon as any party announces its need for employees, CSC nominates those registered in the employment system on the same day.
