Al-Salam Society calls for donations for its project
KUWAIT CITY, July 19: The Salam Society for Humanitarian and Charitable Works announced that it is receiving donations towards its ‘sacrifice project 1442 AH 2021’, to provide 5,000 sacrificial offering in Kuwait, Arab and Islamic nations, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Director-General of the Society, Dr Nabil Al-Oun, said the project is one of the most prominent and important seasonal projects implemented by the Al-Salam Society for Humanitarian and Charitable Works annually, and coincides with the approaching Eid Al-Adha festival and the Hajj season.
Al-Aoun added the society was keen to perform this great Islamic ritual over the past years, believing in its developmental societal role locally and internationally to facilitate the benevolent brothers for the general benefit of poor Muslims.
He added the project will be implemented in Kuwait, Syria, Yemen, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, the Philippines and Albania and for the benefit of the Rohingya Muslims who live in camps in Bangladesh. The cost of each sacrifice ranges from 33 to 70 dinars for sacrificial sheep, and between 260 to 280 dinars for cow sacrifice.
He indicated the society aims to provide about 5,000 sacrificial animals in all countries in which the project will be implemented, and called on the philanthropists and benefactors to contribute in support of the project.
Al-Aoun pointed out due to the conditions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Al-Salam Society has provided easy means to donate to the sacrifice project. Donations to the project can be made on the society’s website or via the direct link https://alsalamkwt.org/ adhahe or by visiting the society’s headquarters in the Al-Adha region or Adailiya or via Knet devices.
