Four slaughterhouses readied for ‘sacrifice’

-

KUWAIT CITY, July 19: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) said the authority has prepared four slaughter houses in Jahra, Farwaniya, the Capital Governorate and in Al-Ahmadi to slaughter ‘sacrificial lamb’ keeping in line with the health requirements and regulations issued by the concerned authorities, reports Al-Seyassah.

Director of the Slaughterhouses Department Muhammad AlSalem said in a statement, those wishing to make use of these slaughter houses must book an appointment via the ‘Meta’ electronic platform, before going to any of the slaughterhouses during the blessed Eid Al-Adha.

He added PAFN will not entertain anyone if an appointment has been taken in advance except for the elderly people and people with special needs, since special arrangements have been made for the people of this category at the slaughterhouses.

He explained not more than five people will be allowed to enter the slaughter house at one time and all those who go to the slaughter houses must follow all the procedures while sacrificing an animal.

Al-Salem announced the citizens and residents can go to the slaughterhouses in various governorates during the time specified for each of them to reduce overcrowding that may lead to the spread of the epidemic.

He explained appointment can be made on the ‘Meta’ electronic platform by entering the civil ID and click on the categories of services offered by the PAFN.
