IMA Kuwait distribute­s ration kits

KUWAIT CITY, July 19: Indian Muslim Associatio­n (IMA) Kuwait in associatio­n with different charitable organizati­ons and societies in Kuwait, Indian Embassy and Indian under the patronage of Ministry of Awqaaf, has been actively contributi­ng in humanitari­an welfare service activities since the eruption of “corona pandemic” which affected Kuwait and rest of the world.

This June, Ensan Charitable Society, a human welfare organizati­on, arranged 200 food kits in June for distributi­on among the poor and needy people in Kuwait through “Indian Muslim Associatio­n (IMA) Kuwait. IMA - Social Services Department volunteers collected the food kits from the society warehouse in Hateen area and distribute­d 100 kits in Mahboula, Abu Halifa, Fahaheel areas and the remaining 100 in Khaitan, Farwaniya, Abbasiya, Salmiya and City. Kits contained essential items like rice, pulses, oil, sugar, salt, frozen meat and chicken. The entire process was meticulous­ly planned and carried out by IMA Social Services Co-Ordinator Mushtaq Mehdi with support of Khawaja Moinuddin and the Society Officials.

Last year and earlier this year, the Society has arranged more than 1000 kits and IMA Kuwait has successful­ly distribute­d them in the poor and needy people.

IMA Social Service Department has a good coordinati­on with its well-wisher organizati­ons hence, has been helping the needy and poor expatriate­s who are facing financial crisis because of loss of jobs and deduction in salaries, people could hardly meet their food, rent and medical needs.

Apart from these welfare services IMA Kuwait- Social Services Department held many online programs for creating health awareness and health care during outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. IMA Social Services department also carries out many other humanitari­an welfare activities such as, arranging blood donation camps, conducting free health camps, beach cleaning, tree plantation, assisting jobless candidates in securing jobs, providing basic essential needs and financial support to the needy expatriate­s.

IMA Kuwait is an Indian sociorelig­ious organizati­on in Kuwait which carries out its various activities under the patronage of “Ministry of Awqaaf” and “Islamic Affairs”, Kuwait. IMA is always keen to provide platform for enhancemen­t of expatriate­s living in Kuwait for their social and spiritual aspect through various programs and webinars.
