Indian community bids farewell to Khan Suri
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: The Indian Professionals Network (IPN) and the Indian Business Network (IBN) organized a community farewell function to bid farewell to Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, First Secretary at the Indian Embassy who will be returning to the Foreign Ministry in New Delhi at the end of his tenure in Kuwait.
Speaking on the occasion the Indian ambassador to Kuwait lavished praise saying “my colleague Shri Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri was in the forefront, as an officer whom his ambassador could always turn to for support and solutions 24x7. He was among the most valued member of my team. As Head of Chancery and as the spokesperson of the embassy he did the background work for each of the outreach programs and for Open Houses.
“We together believed that ‘a no is a no only if it is no you wanted, otherwise it is always a temporary setback, a yes in waiting’. He was always there with a viable solution for any challenging circumstances. It is in this context that I appreciate the initiative of IPN and IBN to organize this farewell today.
“During all these political and economic engagements and in further strengthening our people to people connect, Khan Suri played a very important role. For him, his responsibility as a government servant is the number one priority. Of course, a great deal of credit should go to his loving family, his wife and their two sons. I need to specifically highlight his interpersonal relationship with the embassy team, within the community and with the Kuwaiti friends.
“For the embassy,’ he said, “we will miss a dynamic colleague, for the community we will miss a sincere and honest contact and for our Kuwaiti friends we will miss a good friend.”
