KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9, (KUNA): The Director of the Audit and Follow-up Department of Municipal Services in the Ahmadi Municipality Branch, Sa’ad Al-Shaiba, announced the closure of two violating basements that are being commercially exploited in investment properties in Al-Ahmadi Governorate, as part of an inspection tour of the municipality teams in the Mahboulah area.

In a statement to reporters Tuesday, Al-Shaiba said that the campaign launched by the municipality last week in cooperation with the Kuwait Fire Force to detect violating establishments in investment real estate continues on a daily basis in all governorates.

He stressed the importance of voluntarily evacuating the violating basements by the property owner, indicating that failure to comply with the laws of the municipality and the fire department will cause the owner several violations, including the administrative closure.

He pointed out that the supervisory team in the Ahmadi Municipality took its legal measures by issuing a violation and immediate administrative closure of a basement in the Mahboulah area exploited for carpentry, which causes a high risk to the residents of the property.
