CLEVELAND, Aug 9, (AP): Lazurite™ has been selected by The Healthcare Technology Report as one of the Top 100 Healthcare Technology Companies of 2022. The Healthcare Technology Report (“The Report”) provides market research and insights, business news, investment activity updates and important corporate developments related to the healthcare technology sector.

“The awardees on this year’s list represent the absolute best in the healthcare technology space,” The Report said in its announcement. “These companies are changing the face of the industry. They are leveraging their considerable talent to find innovative solutions to the most pressing issues in healthcare, and they are saving countless lives and extending healthspans in the process.”

Lazurite is a pre-revenue medical device startup company backed by private capital. The Cleveland-based company designs devices to set new operating-room standards for efficiency and patient safety. Lazurite’s ArthroFree™ System is the first wireless surgical camera system to receive FDA market clearance for arthroscopy and general endoscopy.

“We are proud to be recognized by The Healthcare Technology Report for our ArthroFree System,” Lazurite CEO and co-founder Eugene Malinskiy said. “The ArthroFree System ushers in a new era of wireless surgical visualization in minimally invasive surgery. It is designed to meet the needs of surgeons seeking cutting-edge surgical tools that enable them to operate more nimbly and more effectively.”

By eliminating the cables that tether the surgeon to the surgical tower in a traditional system, the ArthroFree System allows for more ergonomic and efficient surgical movements. These cables hinder the surgeon and put operating room staff at risk for trips and falls. They also require staff time to set up, take down and properly clean, and they have been implicated in operating room fires and patient burns.

“The top 100 companies this year represent a range of specialties, from genomics to pharmaceuticals, lab testing, therapeutics, data analysis, and much more,” The Report said in its announcement. “What they have in common is the impact they are having on patients’ lives, whether through direct treatment or by providing advanced, game-changing products and services to treatment providers.
