Private Arab schools set dates for payment of fees in 2 installments
PAY organizes free technical craft courses for youth
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: Private Arab schools set the dates for students to pay tuition fees for the academic year 2022/2023 in two installments – the first installment is at the beginning of the academic year in September and second is at the start of the second semester in February next year, reports Al-Rai daily.
The first and second installments for students from first to fifth grades is KD 200, KD 240 first installment and KD 229 second installment for those in the sixth to ninth grades, and KD 320 first installment and KD 296 second installment for the secondary level.
The daily obtained a copy of the circular of the General Administration of Private Education in the Ministry of Education; specifying all fees including school uniforms, while the book fees are optional that should be paid in full together with the first installment and these fees are non-refundable.
The circular indicated that the registration fee is KD 50 for all educational levels and it is deducted from the first and non-refundable installment paid at the beginning of the school year. The registration fee guarantees the reservation of the class slot until the first school day only, while the first installment is due in the first week of the school year.
Installment
Every academic year, students who do not pay the first installment will be excluded from the grade lists; while the exam results and academic certificates will be withheld. If a student withdraws from school in the first semester, the guardian or parent is entitled to 50 percent refund, and if the student withdraws after the start of the second semester, the guardian or parent is entitled to full refund.
Students supported by the Charitable Fund for Private Education are covered by the conditions and decisions issued by the Ministry of Education in this regard. These students must submit the required documents, and they must pay for the school uniform and any difference in tuition fees. The fund pays KD 110 for students in the primary stage, KD120 in the middle school and KD 190 in secondary school for each semester; as long as the student performs well in the exams, otherwise, the guardian or parent will shoulder the full fees.
Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Youth announced the organization of several free technical craft courses for Kuwaiti youth in the authority’s youth centers in all governorates of Kuwait, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The authority said in a press statement, Sunday, that the technical craft courses include caricature drawing, recycling, various artworks, pulp molding, watercolor painting, and a “decoupage” workshop, in addition to an album-making and ceramics courses.
The authority added that the aim of the craft courses is to invest the energies of young people and teach them new skills and crafts, and to encourage and motivate them to learn new hobbies, gain experience and develop skills and capabilities in several fields.
The Youth Heritage Craft Center in the authority called on Kuwaiti youth between 17 and 34 years old to register through the website of the Public Authority for Youth.
