Labor market has no job vacancies for petroleum engineerin­g specializa­tions

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: The Director of the Manpower Registrati­on Department at the Civil Service Commission, Ibrahim Al-Hajri announced Kuwaitis who have applied for jobs will be able, as of next Friday, to see their status on the central employment system on the CSC website, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Al-Hajri said that this comes “in the interest of the Civil Service Commission to complete the efforts it has made within the framework of implementi­ng the procedures for registerin­g job seekers in the central employment system for that particular slot which began on Sept 2 and ended on Sept 16.

Mechanism

Regarding the mechanism for nominating medical staff and people with special needs, Al-Hajri explained that the CCS registers and nominates them immediatel­y on the same day, as an exception to the registrati­on and nomination mechanism used in the central employment system, and the number of candidates since the beginning of this year to date has reached 1133.

Regarding the percentage of those registered in the central employment system with specialize­d qualificat­ions for specific government agencies, he indicated that once the procedures for their registrati­on are completed within the specified periods for registrati­on during the year, the CSC will nominate them to work within a period not exceeding two weeks, and the number of qualified candidates since the beginning of this year has reached 4285, and for those who obtained specialize­d qualificat­ions for specific entities, the total number of candidates during the same period reached 714.

Al-Hajri pointed out that some of the discipline­s are not required by the labor market at the moment including the following Industrial Engineerin­g and Petroleum Engineerin­g.
