Municipality accepts offer from real estate firms for Kuwait City

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: The Kuwait Municipality approved the first offer from a real estate company for the beautification of Kuwait City, reports Al-Jarida daily.

A letter sent by the Kuwait Municipality to the Municipal Council talked about an initiative from one of the real estate companies to construction, complete and provide maintenance of a multi-storey car park building with the development and beautification of the adjacent areas belonging to the state in the Sharq region, Block 7 within the project of developing and beautifying the city.

This is based on a resolution of the Council of Ministers in its meeting held on Sept 16, 2021 regarding assigning the Kuwait Municipality in coordination with the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources, the Environment

Public Authority, the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport, and the authorities it deems appropriate to complete the works related to beautifying the city of Kuwait and highlight its cultural features, and seek the assistance of whom it deems appropriate such as experts, initiatives, cooperative societies, associations of public interest and the private sector.

The “Municipality” pointed out that by presenting this initiative to the Council of Ministers at its meeting No. 31-2022/2, the Council of Ministers issued its Resolution No. 621 dated 8/8/2022, approving the acceptance of the donation provided by the real estate company, indicating that the request is with the Municipal Council to consider accepting the said offer.
