‘Kuwaiti youths vital for NCCAL’s success’
Roadmap needed: Al-Mutairi
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20, (KUNA): Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture, State Minister for Youth Affairs and Head of National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature (NCCAL) Abdulrahman AlMutairi stated Thursday that Kuwait is packed with ambitious youngsters with energy vital to ensure success of NCCAL’s strategic plan.
When heading the strategy’s team meeting, Minister Al-Mutairi stressed the necessity of empowering youth, providing them with necessary support, via enabling participation in cultural process and enriching their experiences with training and constant development.
During the meeting, attended by NCCAL’s Acting Secretary-General Dr. Essa Al-Ansari, Al-Mutairi underscored importance of drawing a clear roadmap to be followed, so that proposed ideas are filtered accordingly.
He further stressed the execution of these ideas, and working in an accelerated professional and transparent manner.
On his part, Al-Ansari explained in a press statement, that a visual show was put on by strategy team to display the project’s latest developments, its journey and mechanism. It also handled the strategy’s main axes and provided a defined visualization of its three-phase methodology of planning, discussion and international experiences.
Al-Ansari added that the strategy’s main objectives include supporting culture, arts and literature, stimulating intellectual production, safeguarding heritage, cementing connections with Arab and international cultural bodies, and creating a sustainable and stimulating cultural developmental environment.
Arab meeting kicks off: The 38th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice kicked off on Thursday in the Moroccan city of Ifran, with the participation of Kuwait.
Moroccan Minister of Justice Abdullatif Wahbi stated in the opening speech that the council’s session aims to study and discuss various issues of common interest and ways to develop and strengthen Arab cooperation to face challenges especially in the field of combating organized crime and terrorism.
He stressed that teamwork is important in order to create a legal space that aims to consolidate Arab gains and achievements, as well as develop cooperation to serve the interest of Arab countries.
Algerian Deputy Minister of Justice Mohammad Ragaz, whose country hosted the 37th session of the council, said in a statement that this session is an opportunity for Arabs to unite and face common challenges, adding that the topics discussed in this session reflects the council’s priorities.
This session will discuss various topics such as terrorism, and how to strengthen Arab and international cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, along with other issues.
