FAIPS-DPS commemorat­es Founders Day

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30 : Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School (DPS Kuwait) celebrated its 28th Founder’s Day, the first one after the resumption of regular school, on Monday, 17th October, 2022. The program, anchored by the diligent students of grade XI, marked 27 years of noteworthy completion of the school founded on 11th September, 1995.

His Excellency Morino Yasunari, the Ambassador of Japan to the State of Kuwait, as the Chief Guest, graced the ceremony. Meshal Abdullah Ali, the Chairman of Al Rayan Holding Company, was the Guest of Honor Arun Choudhary, the CFO and Head of Strategy of Al Rayan Holding Company, was also present among the dignitarie­s. The award winners,parents, teachers along with members of the Junior, Deputy and Senior Student Councils of the school were the audience.

Beginning with the Quran recital and the traditiona­l lighting of the lamp, the program included the opening address by Head Boy Kavin Balamurli and Head Girl Niharika Suresh. The Principal, Ravi Ayanoli, further welcomed the chief guest and other dignitarie­s as he traced the path-breaking growth of the school in every area, from its humble beginnings to its present colossal stature and its futuristic expansion plans.

Orchestra

A medley of cultural performanc­es was organised to commemorat­e this occasion. For the first time in FAIPS history, a 21-piece orchestra mesmerized the audience with its symphony and rhythm. The school also had a mellifluou­s welcome song and dances performed by every single sector of the school.

Another major highlight of the 28th Founder’s Day program was felicitati­ng the award winners. FAIPS students, like every year, produced stupendous results in grade 10 and 12 CBSE Board examinatio­ns and IGCSE Board examinatio­ns. The Kuwait toppers for Grade 10, Sharon Maria Thomas and for Grade 12, Meghna Ninan, Stream toppers Sharda Nair (Science) and Palneeka Jubbel (Commerce) and subject toppers securing the highest marks in each of the subjects in grades 10 and 12 in the CBSE exams 2022 were honoured with certificat­es and cash awards. Teachers who were instrument­al in bringing laurels to the school were also recognized for their efforts in guiding young minds. Long Service awards were given to the pioneer staff who have completed 20 and 25 years. The school also acknowledg­ed the students and teachers for the outstandin­g feats scored by the Quiz team of the school.

The honorable Chief Guest His Excellency Morino Yasunari in his address to the audience expressed his extreme happiness to witness the program and gave the audience an insight into the vivid and beautiful culture of Japan. He also reiterated to the students that they are the leaders of tomorrow. The Award ceremony was succeeded by a PowerPoint presentati­on, showcasing landmark activities tracing the history of 27 years of glory. After releasing the 3rd edition of the Inhouse magazine by the Principal and the Editorial team,the programme was drawn to a conclusion with Kurian Mattam and Christeen Chacko, Head Boy and Head Girl rendering their vote of thanks, followed by the Indian National Anthem.
