Air Arabia launches first flight from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait

Step enhances bilateral commercial and touristic exchange

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1, (KUNA): Air Arabia Aviation Group launched on Monday its first flight from Abu Dhabi Internatio­nal Airport in the UAE to Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport, with one flight on a daily basis.

Deputy Director-General for Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport Affairs at the Directorat­e General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Saleh Al-Faddaghi said in remarks to KUNA that the directorat­e is fully read to offer all possible facilities to all aviation companies desiring to operate flights or open new destinaton­s.

The aviation companies are measuring the increasing demand by nationals and expatriate­s to open new destinatio­ns and operate flights, which would contribute to the spirit of competence between aviation companies, and play a key role in lowering the flight tickets’ prices, he added.

UAE Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Matar Al-Neyadi told KUNA that this new flight that connects Abu Dhabi Internatio­nal Airport and Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport will boost air transporta­tion between the two brotherly countries.

This step contribute­s to enhancing the bilateral commercial and touristic exchange and boosting the cooperatio­n

between the two countries at all levels, he affirmed.

Flying the first flight of Air Arabia from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait is considered a vital destinatio­n as part of a large network including other destinatio­ns of the company,

Air Arabia Group chief executive officer (CEO) Adel Al-Ali said in press remarks.

Direct flight were operated directly from Abu Dhabi to 28 destinatio­ns, including Lebanon, Egypt, Azerbaijan, India, Bangladesh, Turkey,

Nepal, Sudan, Pakistan, Oman, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovin­a and Georgia, he added.

Air Arabia is an Emirati low-cost airline with its head office in the A1 Building Sharjah Freight Center, Sharjah Internatio­nal Airport.
