‘Kuwait aims to boost digital transformation in all sectors’
Endeavor key to increasing investment rates
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2, (KUNA): Deputy Director General of the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) Dr. Ammar Al-Hussaini affirmed on Wednesday Kuwait’s endeavor to enhance digital technologies and improve work efficiency in all sectors.
In a speech during Kuwait’s Digital Transformation Conference and Exhibition launched, AlHussaini said digital transformation is a tool to achieve the vision of New Kuwait 2035, adding that it is an important factor in increasing investment rates in Kuwait’s IT sectors as it attracts companies specialized in digital technologies.
Improve cooperation
He said the conference will address topics that aim to improve cooperation between the government and private sectors to build an advanced digital economy with a flexible system that could help the private sector to modify digital transformation.
He added that the conference would also discuss ways to improve health care and education services, as well as the banking and financial sectors by transforming digital services,
namely banking services and future payments.
Training advisor at CAIT, Dr. Anwar Al-Harbi, affirmed to KUNA importance of training people to accommodate digital transformation within the institutions.
He added that the government’s application (Sahel) is part of the
digital transformation as it provides several services under one platform, with aim to reduce time and efforts.
The conference will also tackle latest developments and challenges in digital transformation through a series of presentations and panel discussions.
