‘Kuwait endeavors to enhance digital technologies, improve work efficiency’
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: Deputy Director General of the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) Dr. Ammar Al-Hussaini said Kuwait endeavors to enhance digital technologies and improve work efficiency in all sectors, reports Al-Rai daily.
Addressing the participants of the Kuwait’s Digital Transformation Conference and Exhibition, Al-Hussaini said digital transformation is a tool to achieve the vision of New Kuwait 2035, adding that it is an important factor in increasing investment rates in Kuwait’s IT sectors as it attracts companies specialized in digital technologies.
He said the conference will address topics that aim to improve cooperation between the government and private sectors to build an advanced digital economy with a flexible system that could help the private sector to modify digital transformation. He added that the conference would also discuss ways to improve health care and education services, as well as the banking and financial sectors by transforming digital services, namely banking services and future payments.
Training advisor at CAIT, Dr. Anwar Al-Harbi, spoke of the importance of training people to accommodate digital transformation within the institutions. He added that the government’s application (Sahel) is part of the digital transformation as it provides several services under one platform, with aim to reduce time and efforts.
On the sidelines of the opening ceremony, Dina Sobh, Director of the Technology Capabilities Department, at Ooredoo Telecom, said: “We hope to help and work to achieve growth, sustainable development and innovation as part of the digital transformation process, as customers are currently seeking a more strategic approach that contributes to overcoming challenges, developing processes, growing, and even going further.
The conference will be attended by 40 experts in the fields of information technology, digital and electronic transformation, technological innovation, digital research and development, smart and electronic services, data management and analysis, cloud computing and data storage, new technologies in the human resources shared services sector, operations, customer experience, and service excellence.
The conference, which will be attended by more than 400 participants, will also tackle latest developments and challenges in digital transformation through a series of presentations and panel discussions.
