Minister opens new fire center
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5, (KUNA): The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Thursday inaugurated the Arifjan Fire Center in the residential city of Sabah Al-Ahmad.
The Kuwait Fire Force said in a press statement that the new center was built with the latest construction systems and came to meet the needs of the firefighters and cover all accidents in the area and the nearby areas and to be a support to the rest of the centers in the southern region.
The statement stressed that this comes from the keenness of the Kuwait Fire Force to enhance its capabilities and carry out its duties in order to maintain community security and protect lives and property through speedy response to reports.
During the opening of the center, in the presence of the head of the force, Lieutenant-General Khaled Al-Mekrad, the deputy head of the combat sector, Major General Jamal Nasser, and a number of the force’s leaders, he praised the efforts of the force’s men and their sacrifices, which make citizens and residents feel safe and reassured.
For his part, Al-Mekrad confirmed that the residential city of Sabah AlAhmad has been secured by the opening of its second fire station.
The statement indicated that the interest of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in the speedy opening of fire stations stems from the government’s keenness to provide all services in the new cities and regions so that citizens and residents enjoy the highest levels of protection and social security.
