Young Bhavanites swim their way to glory
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: The Indian Education School, Bhavans Kuwait, has always been admired and feted for the outstanding performance of young Bhavanites in the field of sports.
To add another golden feather to the crowning glory of IES, the zestful and vibrant swimming team of IES brought home laurels in the 24th CBSE Kuwait Cluster Swimming Championship for Boys and Girls.
The IES emerged unvanquished as supreme winners in the Swimming Championship, thwarting their worthy opponents.
Kuwait Cluster Swimming Championship for Boys was held from Oct 16 and Oct 17 at New Indian School, Mangaf.
The IES Boys swimming team secured 142 points and won the overall championship by bringing home 33 gold medals, 33 silver and 3 bronze.
The boys team comprised Sujith Murugaiyan (IV E), John Anto Ranjith Singh Raja (IV B), Pradwid Krishna Shaji (VIII A), Sabharish Sagar Kuttuva (VIII F), Ahmed Hamza Idris (VIII A), Niranjan Hima Nirmal (VIII C), Daniel Rino (VIII D), Kartikeya Rahul Zade (X A), Sreeram Sreeraj Nair (IX E), Burhanuddin Shabbir (XI F), Evan Joseph Pynummoottil (XC), Krishna Arun Muthu Kumar (VI B), Sachin Sreekumar Nair (XII A), Ninad Sujit Ronghe (XII E), Dave Rino (XII D), Kevin Raymond Lawrence (XII A), Ananth Milan (IX E)
The Individual Championship for Under-19 category was bagged by Sachin Shree Kumar of Class 12A and Under-17 category was bagged by Kartikeya of class 10A.
The Salmiya Indian Model School, Kuwait hosted the Cluster Swimming Competition for girls on Oct 18 and
Oct 19, 2022. The IES girls swimming team secured 122 points and won overall championship by bagging 45 gold medals, 21 silver and 2 bronze.
