MP Shuaib Shabbab Al-Muwaizri Sunni, Tribal/Independent Fourth Constituency
MP Shuaib Shabbab Al-Muwaizri was born in 1959. He holds a Diploma in Security Sciences that he obtained in 1982 and Master’s in Security Sciences.
He was an officer at the Ministry of Interior and he retired with the rank of colonel. He was appointed State Minister for Housing and National Assembly Affairs in 2012.
He contested the elections in 2009 when he ranked seventh in his constituency with 12,385 votes. He also ranked seventh in 2012 with 10,781votes; sixth in 2016 with 3,528 votes; and first in 2020 and 2022 with 6,200 and 8,995 votes respectively.
He was not among the MPs investigated on the suspicious accumulation of bank deposits.

Statement
Al-Muwaizri was the brain behind the opposition’s sit-in in the Assembly building to demand for the dismissal of Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim and HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid.
He said: “Our current situation is the result of the governments’ alliance with the corrupt for almost 60 years. This alliance must end in 2022 in the interest of citizens. The people of Kuwait must obtain their rights according to the Constitution, not as a gift from a sheikh or minister.”
