Health Ministry applies open door policy to listen to citizens’ complaints & suggestion­s

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: The Ministry of Health has earmarked one day of each week to receive citizens to listen to their complaints and suggestion­s, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The Ministry confirmed this comes in line with the directives of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed AlAwadi, in implementi­ng the open-door policy.

The ministry said Tuesday of every week is set to receive the undersecre­tary, assistant undersecre­tary for services affairs, assistant undersecre­tary for administra­tive affairs, assistant undersecre­tary for private sector services, and assistant undersecre­tary for engineerin­g affairs and projects.

Monday is set to receive the Assistant Undersecre­tary for Digital Health, the Assistant Undersecre­tary for Public Health and the Assistant Undersecre­tary for Drug and Food Control, while Sunday is set aside for receiving citizens by the Secretary-General of the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializa­tion, the Assistant Undersecre­tary for Supportive Medical Services, the Assistant Undersecre­tary for Pharmaceut­icals and Medical Equipment, and the Assistant Undersecre­tary for Technical Affairs.

On Thursday, the ministry will receive the assistant undersecre­tary for dental affairs for citizens to listen to their complaints and suggestion­s.

The ministry indicated that the Citizen Service Department will open its doors to citizens on a daily basis to receive their complaints and address the concerned authoritie­s in the ministry to resolve them.

The sources explained that the Capital, Farwaniya, Mubarak Al-Kabeer, Jahra and Al-Sabah health districts will receive citizens on Tuesdays of each week, while the Hawalli health district will receive citizens on Mondays, and the Ahmadi health district will receive citizens on Thursdays.
