Ministry of Education approves proposal

-

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: The Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education in the Ministry of Education Osama Al-Sultan approved the general technical guidance team’s proposal, which requires teachers to teach a single science subject in a single curriculum, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to informed sources, an official letter was sent by AlSultan to the directors of all educational zones.

In the letter, he affirmed the response to the request of the general technical guidance team for the teaching of only one curriculum for the subject of science, and instructing the concerned authority to do so in accordance with the lessons of teachers and the number of classes in the school.

The sources explained that each class in each educational stage has its own curriculum. Therefore, when a teacher is assigned to teach two different classes, it means that he teaches two different curricula. This turns out to be a burden for the teachers.

Meanwhile, Al-Sultan affirmed the Ministry of Education’s keenness to support students and encourage them to participate in competitions that contribute to creating a spirit of competition and innovation in them, and have an impact on improving and developing their ideas because “they are the future leaders”.

He said this during the inaugural ceremony of the Nasmat Al-Khuzamy Competition on the value of “preserving blessings through innovation and sustainability” for secondary school students in the Capital Educational Zone. The ceremony was held on Tuesday at Bahra Primary School for Girls.

Director of Educational Affairs Dalal Al-Nahedh said the competition is characterized by a distinguished community partnership that aims to raise awareness of the value of preserving blessings through innovation and sustainability and enhance investment in the students.

She affirmed the constant keenness of the Capital Educational Zone to support and embrace promising competitions such as “Nasmat Al-Khuzamy Competition”.
