IMA Kuwait conducts grand Seerah conference in Masjid Al Kabeer

‘Women’s participation important for welfare of societies’

-

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: The life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a source of light and guidance for all mankind and His actions are like a GPS in our life which guides us towards the right path, was the opening remark of Engr. Syed Sadatullah Hussaini, the National President of JIH India, while addressing a huge gathering on topic “Lesson from Seerah for Current Scenario” on Nov 4 in Grand Mosque (Masjid Al Kabeer) in coordination with Ministry of Awqaaf and Islamic Affairs Kuwait.

He further said that the life of a Muslim whether personal or social, shall start and finish in the light of Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who just in a short period of 23 years, changed the direction of human history by bringing a revolution which provided the best environment to all human beings and strove to remove the oppression, slavery, emancipation of women and other evils from society and gave a new shape to the whole human society. He appealed that it is our responsibility now to convey the message of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to the rest of the people in the world.

He further emphasized that following Prophet SAWS teachings we can solve the three major problems which are being faced by the human society today.

“Division of Humanity” he gave example that how pharaohs divided the human beings and made one group weak and subsequently persecute them. Similar situations we encounter in today’s world. For such situation Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on the basis of monotheism read out the message of God that all human beings are equal and brothers and he established brotherhood among all.

Suffering

“Economic Imbalance”: He said that nowadays this has been observed that a small section of the society is getting rich day by day and on the other hand the poor are making a majority in society and are suffering from hunger in their daily life. The teachings of Islam say that you are not a Muslim if your stomach is full and your neighbor is hungry. Islam prohibits the activities of accumulation of wealth in a few hands and made provision for poor through establishment of Zakat and charity.

“Religious Unrest & Tension” Tensions in the societies are being witnessed in different parts of the world based on the religion. Islam says that there is no compulsion in the religion and asks its followers to respect the other religions. This can be seen that during the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) how the Jews and Muslims were practicing their own religions in Madinah.

Concluding his speech, he advised that the Seerah (biography) of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) made obligatory for every Muslim to believe in Prophet SAWS and also that He is the last prophet sent by Allah for all mankind. He also insisted that we should respect and love Him, follow the Book of God, Quran, and teachings of the Prophet SAWS and help others by propagating His messages either by demonstrating them through our actions or conveying by other means of communications.

Dr Rizwan Rafeequi, another speaker from JIH India, addressed the audience on topic “The Present Situations and the Responsibilities of our youth in the light of Seerah” with examples of 3 young companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
