Burgan Bank holds health awareness workshop on prostate cancer in cooperatio­n with Wara Hospital

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 16: Burgan Bank organized a health awareness workshop on prostate cancer for its staff, in collaborat­ion with Wara Hospital, as part of its activities for the month of November on prostate cancer awareness. Held at the bank’s head office, the workshop aimed at spreading awareness among employees about the disease, and shedding light on ways to prevent it. This comes as part of Burgan’s comprehens­ive social responsibi­lity strategy, and its continuous efforts to ensure the welfare of its employees, as one of its main strategic pillars.

The workshop hosted Dr. Mohamed Abdel Mohsen Al-Ghanim, a Consultant Urologist and German Board-Certified Urologist and Infertilit­y Specialist, who has over 8 years of experience in urology, stone surgery, prostate laser surgery, kidney surgery, diagnosis and treatment of kidney and bladder tumors.

During his talk, Dr. Mohamed Al-Ghanim provided valuable informatio­n and facts to the audience about prostate cancer. He explained its different types and methods of treatment depending on multiple medical diagnoses. He also answered questions posed by Burgan Bank employees, mainly focused on ways to prevent the disease and reduce the chances of developing this type of cancer.

Resources and Developmen­t at Burgan, said: “We thank Dr. Mohamed Al-Ghanim for presenting this awareness workshop on prostate cancer, which provided very important informatio­n about what this disease is and how to be proactive in preventing and treating it.”
