Agriculture authority affirms support for nat’l agricultural products
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28, (KUNA): The Director General of the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources., Eng. Mishaal Al-Quraifa, affirmed that the authority supports the national agricultural products and will exert all its energy to overcome all obstacles facing farmers or the presence of the national products in the local markets.
This came during a village tour in the Agricultural Season Festival with the participation of the Abdali Farmers Association under the ‘Agriculture Season’ initiative sponsored by the Authority in the Injaz Market project in the Al-Rai area, as the initiative includes the participation of 35 agricultural stalls from Kuwaiti farms in Abdali.
Al-Quraifa explained that the authority’s participation came to support the Kuwaiti product in the local market, provide assistance to farmers and support their efforts to achieve food security and raise agricultural efficiency and sustainability, calling on everyone to encourage the Kuwaiti product and continue such agricultural activities.
For his part, a member of the Abdali Farmers Association, farmer Ahmed Al-Arada, stressed the need to provide permanent centers and exhibitions for the sale of Kuwaiti products, indicating that these centers have become an attractive destination for citizens and residents to shop at nominal prices.
Al-Arada explained that the idea of agricultural stalls is a pioneering step to support the Kuwaiti product, noting that the ‘Agriculture Season’ initiative is a step in the right direction.
