KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: The Criminal Court presided over by Judge Nasser Al-Bader issued a decision to return the previously dismissed complaint papers from the Public Prosecutor to the Public Prosecution Office to question the Editor-in-Chief of Al-Qabas newspaper Walid Al-Nisf and the author of the articles in question.

The court ordered the investigations officer to carry out complementary investigations and listen to their statements regarding the complaint submitted by Colonel Faisal Muhammad Al-Salman Al-Sabah, who was previously accused with another in the case known as the “State Security leaks”.

The Public Prosecution decided to dismiss the complaint submitted by Colonel Faisal AlSabah against the defendant after he insulted him in his capacity as a public employee and in person, and also insulted the ruling family through a front-page article titled, “Two traitorous officers!” and another article titled “Family Conflict … and Zero Hour.”

However, his defense filed a grievance with the court, which issued its decision and set the session of January 12, 2023 to consider the case after the prosecution finished listening to their statements at the request of the court.

It is noteworthy that Colonel Faisal AlSabah obtained a final acquittal ruling at the Criminal Court, and the court stated in its reasons for its ruling that the accusation is common and cannot be limited to a specific person.

It was also proven that the recordings, before they were published, were handed over to an officer to deliver them to another officer working in the Money Laundering Department at his request, and not at the request of the first accused Nasser Al-Tayyar who said they were not handed over to him, as the investigations officer claimed that he lied.

It is possible that someone other than the first accused is the one who copied and leaked this information and caused its publication, especially since there are facts, as proven by investigations, related to the same subject that were published on a date prior to the incident.
