Bid to renew minor, medium, severe disability cert for life or 5 years
KUWAIT CITY, March 21: Director of the Public Authority for Disabled Affairs (PADA) Dr Bibi Al-Amiri recently issued an administrative decision on the renewal of minor, medium and severe disability certificates for life or five years through specialized medical committees; provided an approved medical report is presented and as per the previous decision of the concerned committee, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The decision also stipulates that disability cases should not be re-evaluated while the certificates are still valid, unless the persons with disabilities request for it. The concerned committee has no right to reduce the degrees of disability, except in case of full recovery which should be proven in medical documents. The case will then be submitted to the Higher Committee to decide in this regard.
Also, the certificates issued for the first time are valid for five years, except for those with educational and developmental disabilities.
Sources from the authority confirmed that this new mechanism is aimed at easing procedures in the interest of people with disabilities in line with international and Gulf standards.
Bonus disbursement: Assistant Undersecretary for the Administrative and Development
Sector and acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Finance Sector in the Ministry of Education Rajaa Bouarki has confirmed the completion of procedures for disbursing the excellent job performance bonus to eligible educational administrators for the year 2022, reports Al-Jarida daily.
He said the bonus will be deposited in the accounts of 4,211 beneficiaries – the first batch –
last Thursday, while the second batch consisting of 795 employees will receive their bonus by the end of next week.
He added the number of beneficiaries in the head office of the ministry reached 2,892; 155 in special education schools; 42 in religious institutes and 408 in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational District.
