Kuwait University opens ‘Science Expo 2023’
Acting Director of Kuwait University, Dr. Fahd Al-Rashidi, inaugurated on Monday, in Sabah Al-Salem University City, the College of Science Exhibition ‘Science Expo 2023’ with the participation of several institutions inside and outside the university.
Acting Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad bin Sabt, said in a press statement that the college celebrates the opening of the exhibition, which is the largest annual exhibition held by the college with the participation of scientific clubs affiliated with the scientific departments and several entities from the public and private sectors.
Bin Sabt explained that the exhibition aims to introduce new students to the scientific departments of the college and its programs, in order to determine his scientific path in the college and the participation of external parties to introduce graduate students to career opportunities and nature of work after graduation in these different entities.
For her part, the head of the Office of Guidance and Counseling, Mona Mahmoud, stated in a similar statement that the exhibition includes an introductory series of majors offered by the Faculty of Science, the relationship of each major to the other, and fields of work available for all of them.
She added that the exhibition this year sheds light on the Department of Marine Sciences as the most recent major in the College of Sciences, as it began in 2016, in order to display the relationship of the Marine Sciences major with the rest of the scientific disciplines.
The exhibition includes various scientific departments in the College of Science, including chemistry, financial mathematics, applied chemistry, engineering physics, statistics, research, operations, applied statistics, and basic physics along with marine sciences, earth sciences, environmental sciences, and biological sciences.
It included pavilions of various disciplines, during which the students presented their experiences and experiences that they gained, in addition to some educational materials used in the laboratories. They gave a presentation to the visitors of the exhibition that included an explanation of various scientific images and applications. (KUNA)
