Gulf Bank: a diamond sponsor at ‘Gust Fair’

KUWAIT CITY, March 22: Salma AlHajjaj: “We are keen to support talents and the youth, and this contribute­d to having their numbers exceed 37% out of the total number of employees in 2022.”

As part of its continuous efforts to empower the youth, and to establish its position as a preferred destinatio­n in the Kuwaiti financial sector, Gulf Bank participat­ed as a diamond sponsor at the 24th Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) career fair, which was held over 3 days.

Throughout the career fair, Gulf Bank representa­tives shed light on the nature of the workplace at the Bank – by providing detailed explanatio­ns on the work structure and job opportunit­ies available for recent graduates; in addition to conducting personal interviews for applicants.

As part of its continuous efforts to establish the principles of environmen­tal sustainabi­lity in the society, the Bank’s representa­tives distribute­d a quantity of reusable bags –aiming to encourage students to reduce the use of plastic bags, and number of small trees were also distribute­d as gifts.

On this occasion, the General Manager of Human Resources Department at Gulf Bank, Salma Al-Hajjaj said: “We are keen to annually participat­e in the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) career fair, as part of our continuous efforts to supportKuw­ait’s youth and talents.”

Al-Hajjaj mentioned that Gulf Bank is keen to attract young talents from various fields, as part of its efforts to consolidat­e its position as the bank of the future, and to align with its strategy for the year 2025. She indicated that the younger generation is capable of keeping pace with the language of the times, including the latest innovation­s and rapid technologi­cal developmen­ts in the banking sector; both locally and globally.

Al-Hajjaj also affirmed the Bank’s eagerness to support Kuwait Vision 2035 “New Kuwait” – which targets private sector employment, and the developmen­t of Kuwait’s youth. She noted thatthe Bank aims to encourage the growth and developmen­t of the youth, and this contribute­d tohaving their numbers exceed 37% out of the total number of employees in 2022.

She continued: “We are proud that Gulf Bank is one of the leading banks that invests generously in human capital to enhance the competenci­es of its employees, as they are the main focus to achieve our strategic objectives. We will continue to provide them with the latest expertise and skills required to keep pace with the major banking developmen­ts that the banking industry is going through.”
