Kuwait’s Endowment Forum marks Sec-Gen’s 30th ’versary

KUWAIT CITY, March 10: Minister of Justice, Endowments and Islamic Affairs Judge Faisal Al-Gharib inaugurated the 27th Endowment Forum, organized by the Secretariat General of Endowments under the slogan, “30 Years of Leadership,” and under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the Grand Hyatt Hotel recently, reports Al-Anba daily.

Al-Gharib said the forum coincides with the Secretariat General’s 30th foundation anniversary. He thanked His Highness the Amir for sponsoring the event, indicating the latter’s generosity and unwavering support greatly contribute to the success of the activities of the Secretariat General.

He pointed out the country is truly proud of the Secretariat General, which has had remarkable achievements in many fields internally and externally, especially those related to community service. “It took a qualitative leap in endowment work in the country. It is a pioneer in advancement in various fields. The slogan, ‘30 Years of Leadership’, reflects the long years full of achievements and projects, while focusing on successes and endowment leadership throughout its history,” he added.

He affirmed the Secretariat General contributed abundantly to the needy locally and globally; thereby, strengthening Kuwait’s position as a global humanitarian center through its endowment funds and projects in coordination with banks keen on contributing to community development, in addition to relief efforts for those afflicted by natural disasters and wars in various countries in coordination with Kuwaiti official and civil institutions.

He stated that the forum reviews broad aspects of the contributions of the Secretariat General throughout its history and the milestones in its local, regional and global development projects.
