Kuwait teams get the go-ahead for Arab Youth Championsh­ip, Gulf Games

Arab Youth Championsh­ip set to take place in Casablanca, Morocco, from April 21-30. Additional­ly, the participat­ion of senior team in the inaugural Gulf Games for those born in 2006-2007, scheduled in the

UAE from April 16 to May 2, was green lit. This aligns with the strategic plan to ready our national handball teams for the upcoming Asian qualifiers leading to the World Cup finals next summer.

Faisal Siwan, the Director of the national teams, emphasized the Associatio­n’s commitment to meticulous­ly prepare and equip the national teams, ensuring their readiness to participat­e and achieve positive results in internatio­nal competitio­ns.

In another developmen­t, the junior handball team at the Kuwait Club secured the championsh­ip title after defeating Al-Qurain 39-28 in the final match held at the AlDaiya Hall. Al-Qurain claimed the runner-up position, while Al-Arabi secured third place by winning the third and fourth place match against Yarmouk , 21-20.

Following the conclusion of the tournament, Vice President of the Kuwait Handball Associatio­n, Shabib Al-Hajri, Secretary-General Abdullah Al-Dhiyab, Director of Handball at Al-Qurain Club,

Abdulaziz Yalos, and Administra­tor of the “Kuwait Handball” team, Faisal Al-Enezi, awarded the winning teams.

Shabib Al-Hajri commended the participat­ing teams’ performanc­e, highlighti­ng the clubs’ dedication and collaborat­ion with the Federation to achieve optimal results. He emphasized the positive impact of focusing on age levels, fostering player developmen­t and challengin­g them according to their abilities, ultimately nurturing future talents for the national teams.
