Schools told to activate fingerprint attendance for employees
KUWAIT CITY, April 9: Hessa Al-Mutawa, acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education at the Ministry of Education, has issued a directive to the educational districts emphasizing the urgent need to activate the fingerprint system for school employees no later than April 18, reports AlQabas daily.
In a letter, Al-Mutawa urged the districts to expedite the activation process and ensure that all necessary data is provided.
She emphasized that the financial sector would take decisive actions, including withholding salaries without prior notice, for those employees who fail to activate their fingerprints until the required procedures are completed.

Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Sabah Al-Salem has issued a ministerial decision appointing Saad Al-Alati, the Assistant Undersecretary in the Ministry of Finance for the General Budget Affairs Sector, as the deputy representative of the Ministry
of Finance on the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Kuwait, replacing Abdulaziz AlMulla, reports Al-Anba daily.
Saad Al-Alati, who has held the position of Assistant Undersecretary since May 2023, was appointed by the former minister of finance and minister of state for economic affairs, Manaf Al-Hajri.
Al-Alati, a graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Kuwait University, brings over 30 years of experience in the field of preparing government budgets.
In his role, Al-Alati oversees the preparation of estimates for the state’s general budget, analyzing budget projects submitted by ministries, agencies, and independent entities while aligning them with the state’s general policies.
He is also responsible for preparing the annual statement of the minister of finance on economic and financial conditions, as well as drafting and analyzing the budget. Additionally, he supervises the development of implementation rules for government agency budgets.
