KRCS reiterates commitment to serving social care homes

KUWAIT CITY, April 15: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society has reiterated its commitment to serving residents of social care homes during national and religious festivitie­s, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Ahmed Al-Faqan, head of the Youth and Volunteers Unit at the Society, emphasized the importance of continuous visits by volunteers, describing them as a moral obligation aimed at providing emotional support to the elderly and individual­s with special needs.

Al-Faqan highlighte­d the significan­ce of volunteers’ visits to care homes during Eid and other joyous occasions, emphasizin­g the message of solidarity and compassion conveyed to residents. He underscore­d the volunteers’ dedication to making residents feel cherished and valued, akin to family members.

The Eid celebratio­n organized by the Society, in collaborat­ion with the Department of Public Activities and Informatio­n at the Ministry of Social Affairs, included residents of care homes affiliated with the Ministry.

Al-Faqan commended the efforts of volunteers and the Social Activities Department at the Ministry of Social Affairs in organizing the event, which involved distributi­ng gifts and participat­ing in the Eid festivitie­s with the elderly and disabled.

Additional­ly, Al-Faqan noted that the Society is committed to organizing various community events coinciding with Eid and other occasions, with active participat­ion from volunteers. This underscore­s the Society’s ongoing commitment to serving the community and promoting social cohesion and inclusivit­y.
