Vital issues on MC meet agenda

KUWAIT CITY, April 16: During its upcoming meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, the Municipal Council Technical Committee will address several important issues, reports Al-Jarida daily.

One of the main agenda items is the request from the Communicat­ions and Informatio­n Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) to allocate a portion of the Umm Al-Hayman Post Office site for the establishm­ent of the national data center for business continuity and disaster management. This request involves allocating an area of 5,890 square meters in Block 7 of the Ali Sabah Al-Salem area.

Additional­ly, the committee will discuss the request of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare to amend the boundaries of the housing project in the southern Khaitan area, specifical­ly plots 1 and 2 (formerly 3 and 4). There will also be considerat­ion of proposals related to abandoned properties and parking lots for government schools, submitted by committee member Fahd AlAbduljad­er.

Other matters on the agenda include a proposal from the Chairman of the Municipal Council, Abdullah Al-Muharri, regarding adding activities in the Ardiya Industrial Area, as well as a request from the Environmen­t Public Authority regarding the establishm­ent of a sea bridge to connect Al-Mutla’a City to Kuwait City.

Furthermor­e, the committee will examine a proposal from Vice-President of the Municipal Council, Member Khaled Mufleh Al-Mutairi, concerning the allocation of parking lots adjacent to private housing plots throughout Kuwait for the owners of those plots.
