Vital issues on MC meet agenda
KUWAIT CITY, April 16: During its upcoming meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, the Municipal Council Technical Committee will address several important issues, reports Al-Jarida daily.
One of the main agenda items is the request from the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) to allocate a portion of the Umm Al-Hayman Post Office site for the establishment of the national data center for business continuity and disaster management. This request involves allocating an area of 5,890 square meters in Block 7 of the Ali Sabah Al-Salem area.
Additionally, the committee will discuss the request of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare to amend the boundaries of the housing project in the southern Khaitan area, specifically plots 1 and 2 (formerly 3 and 4). There will also be consideration of proposals related to abandoned properties and parking lots for government schools, submitted by committee member Fahd AlAbduljader.
Other matters on the agenda include a proposal from the Chairman of the Municipal Council, Abdullah Al-Muharri, regarding adding activities in the Ardiya Industrial Area, as well as a request from the Environment Public Authority regarding the establishment of a sea bridge to connect Al-Mutla’a City to Kuwait City.
Furthermore, the committee will examine a proposal from Vice-President of the Municipal Council, Member Khaled Mufleh Al-Mutairi, concerning the allocation of parking lots adjacent to private housing plots throughout Kuwait for the owners of those plots.
