Kuwaiti schools excel in Arab Education Bureau Awards
KUWAIT CITY, April 16: Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Mansour Al-Dehani, emphasized the ministry’s commitment to enhancing student and school participation in educational competitions, citing their role in fostering positive competition and developing capabilities across various educational and pedagogical domains, reports Al-Jarida daily.
Al-Dehani made these remarks while representing the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, at the Arab Education Bureau for the Gulf States Award for School Excellence in its second edition.
Al-Dehani highlighted the significance of the School Excellence Award in recognizing school administrations distinguished by their management according to specific criteria.
He praised the efforts of the Arab Education Bureau in spotlighting these schools, which have achieved remarkable success and accomplishments. Kuwait, he noted, stands as a pioneering country in embracing such prestigious awards, as evidenced by the outstanding achievements of the recognized schools and their impact on teachers and students.
The School Excellence Award aims to promote a culture of excellence in schools by enhancing educational and administrative practices, improving school performance, and showcasing the role of distinguished schools in educational processes. AlDehani underscored the importance of school excellence in advancing the educational and pedagogical landscape.
Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Asmi, Director General of the Arab Education Bureau for the Gulf States, expressed appreciation and gratitude towards distinguished schools, acknowledging their outstanding achievements in educational, administrative, and professional realms.
These schools, he emphasized, underwent rigorous screening and evaluation by specialized committees to demonstrate their eligibility for the award. Al-Asmi extended congratulations to the winning schools and encouraged them to continue striving for quality and excellence.
Three schools from Kuwait received the School Excellence Award: Abdul Mohsen Al-Rashid AlBadr Primary School for Boys, affiliated with the Capital Educational District, secured the gold medal; Al-Yasra Middle School for Girls, affiliated with the Al-Ahmadi Educational District, received the silver medal; and Qamriya Amin Middle School for Girls, affiliated with the Capital Educational District, earned the bronze medal.
