AAW returns with its 3rd edition of ‘The North Face Challenge’ race
AAW returns with its 3rd edition of The North Face Challenge Race. KUWAIT: Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co. (AAW) today announced that “The North Face Challenge Race” will return for another season to provide athletes and enthusiasts in Kuwait the opportunity to test their limits in one of the toughest multidiscipline trail competitions in the country.
The race that will take place on Saturday February 7, will be held in the middle of Al-Mutla’a desert located north of the country and includes 17 kilometers of trail running.
AAW developed the Challenge in 2013 under The North Face to encourage outdoor enthusiasts and athletes to push their limits. Last year, close to 70 enthusiasts from over ten countries participated in the Challenge. The North Face is an American brand delivering an extensive line of per formance apparel, equipment, and footwear and one of the largest retail outdoor apparel and gear that AAW distributes in Kuwait.
AAW General Manager, Ali F. Al Mutawa said: “We are very excited to organize The North Face Challenge Race in Kuwait for the third consecutive year to promote the outdoor and adventure spirit within our athletes and outdoor enthusiasts with an environment to test their athletic skills and compete in Kuwait’s rough desert terrain. We encourage athletes and enthusiasts alike to participate this year.” With a commitment to the Kuwaiti community, AAW both develops and supports sports, health and athletic initiatives, including marathons, programs and other challenges like the Al Roudan Tournament, The Kuwait Charity Run, and The Flying Start Triathlon that was also sponsored by The North Face.
