‘Texas Kuwait’ cel­e­brates Onam

Thi ru van ant ha pu ram Dis­trict Ex­pa­tri­ates As­so­ci­a­tion, Texas Kuwait cel­e­brated Onam-Eid Sanga­mam on Novem­ber 06, 2015 at In­dian Com­mu­nity School, Salmiya. NSS Ad­vi­sory Board Mu­rali Kr­ishna in­au­gu­rated the func­tion by light­ing the lamp. As­so­ci­a­tion Pres­i­dent Biju Stephen presided over the in­au­gu­ral func­tion in the pres­ence of the Ad­vi­sory Board Chair­man Se­bas­tian (Uyarangalil) Texas Gen­eral Sec­re­tary Arun Ra­jagopal lead the pro­gram. Wel­come speech given by Event Co­or­di­na­tor Naushad Vithura and Me­dia Con­vener Binu Suku­maran ex­pressed vote of thanks. An amaz­ing‘ Pookkalam’ w as ar­ranged at the venue by Hari Pil­lai and team. The cel­e­bra­tion was mem­o­rable with the at­ten­dance of large num­ber of Au­di­ence pres­ence of the em­i­nent per­son­al­i­ties of so­cial, cul­tural, eco­nomic and com­mer­cial field of Kuwait with tra­di­tional and cul­tural pro­grams of Ker­ala in­clud­ing Onam songs, Thiru­vathi­rakali, Mo­hiniy­at­tam, Bharathanatyam, Kolkkali, Pu­likali Shinkarime­lam, Ganamela, Map­pi­lap­pattu, Cin­i­matic dance, Com­edy skit, etc. The Ker­ala Style ‘Onasadya’with more than 26 tra­di­tional side dishes un­der the lead­er­ship of Mu­rali was the main high­light which was served to more than 750 per­sons who took part in the cel­e­bra­tions. Maveli, the sym­bolic rep­re­sen­ta­tion of king Ma­ha­bali blessed all of the as­so­ci­a­tion mem­bers and was present through­out the day to cher­ish the cel­e­bra­tions. The par­tic­i­pa­tion of large num­ber of mem­bers, va­ri­ety of pro­grams ex­hib­ited the great tal­ents of the as­so­ci­a­tion mem­bers and which made the Onam-Eid cel­e­bra­tion to the grand suc­cess.
