‘Texas Kuwait’ celebrates Onam
Thi ru van ant ha pu ram District Expatriates Association, Texas Kuwait celebrated Onam-Eid Sangamam on November 06, 2015 at Indian Community School, Salmiya. NSS Advisory Board Murali Krishna inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Association President Biju Stephen presided over the inaugural function in the presence of the Advisory Board Chairman Sebastian (Uyarangalil) Texas General Secretary Arun Rajagopal lead the program. Welcome speech given by Event Coordinator Naushad Vithura and Media Convener Binu Sukumaran expressed vote of thanks. An amazing‘ Pookkalam’ w as arranged at the venue by Hari Pillai and team. The celebration was memorable with the attendance of large number of Audience presence of the eminent personalities of social, cultural, economic and commercial field of Kuwait with traditional and cultural programs of Kerala including Onam songs, Thiruvathirakali, Mohiniyattam, Bharathanatyam, Kolkkali, Pulikali Shinkarimelam, Ganamela, Mappilappattu, Cinimatic dance, Comedy skit, etc. The Kerala Style ‘Onasadya’with more than 26 traditional side dishes under the leadership of Murali was the main highlight which was served to more than 750 persons who took part in the celebrations. Maveli, the symbolic representation of king Mahabali blessed all of the association members and was present throughout the day to cherish the celebrations. The participation of large number of members, variety of programs exhibited the great talents of the association members and which made the Onam-Eid celebration to the grand success.
