Kuwait anti-cor­rup­tion au­thor­ity signs MoU

KUWAIT: Min­is­ter of State for Youth Af­fairs and Min­is­ter of In­for­ma­tion Sheikh Sal­man Sabah Salem Al-Hu­moud Al-Sabah said the two min­istries fully sup­port the ef­forts of the Pub­lic Anti-Cor­rup­tion Au­thor­ity (PACA).

It is very im­por­tant to have a spe­cial­ized body that can pro­tect so­ci­ety against cor­rup­tion and bring aware­ness on the mat­ter, Sheikh Sal­man said yes­ter­day on the side­lines of a cer­e­mony to sign two mem­o­ran­dums of un­der­stand­ing (MoU) be­tween the min­istries and PACA. Mean­while, PACA Chair­man Ab­dul­rah­man Al-Ne­mash noted that the mem­o­ran­dums aim to cre­ate co­or­di­na­tion be­tween the au­thor­ity and the me­dia to spread aware­ness on the dan­gers of cor­rup­tion and ways to pre­vent it. “Co­op­er­a­tion be­tween these bod­ies in­clude pro­duc­ing ra­dio and TV pro­grams, or­ga­niz­ing work­shops and train­ing cour­ses for em­ploy­ees in the field,” he said.
