The nominees were carefully chosen by the jury and the voting came in Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled’s favor, it added.

This award aims to honor individuals, organizations and companies across different categories for their outstanding achievements and contributions in the field of maritime trade and shipping industry in the different regions of the world, said the statement.

It pointed out that nominated individuals, organizations and companies are selected for the award based on the decision issued by a committee composed of elite international arbitrators who are professional in the marine transportation industry. On this occasion, Sheikh Talal AlKhaled said that winning the award came as a result of the directives of the political leadership, and its continual support in addition to efforts and excellence of the workers in the Kuwait Oil Tanker Company and the Kuwaiti oil sector, and the prevailing teamwork spirit, which in the end leads to raising the name of Kuwait high in international forums in general and in the maritime industry in particular.

Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled pointed out that winning the award for the second time also came out of the company’s eagerness to continue to raise the level of its services and to provide superior performance and due to possessing a modern fleet that has great capabilities and is considered to be advanced on both regional and international levels.

He stressed that KOTC will go ahead in providing its services on global record levels with Kuwaiti hands that possess admired expertise and ambition, and giving on admirable levels. He said that he dedicates the award to the wise political leadership, the people of Kuwait and all the workers in the oil sector and KOTC, expressing his happiness with this award which reflects the efforts of the workers in the oil sector and the company.

The KOTC is nominated to win several awards in the maritime industry this year that are awarded by recognized international organizations in several areas, including safety and environment, training and best manager and owner of ships.

These nominations are due to the novelty of the company’s fleet as one of the most modern fleets in the world, as well having a group of trained personnel at the highest level, in addition to its great reputation among global companies in the field of maritime transport. These are the fruits of great efforts made by workers in the company over the past years.
