Triple win for Mercedes-AMG

AMG CLA 45 awarded ‘Best Compact Executive Performance’ * AMG S 63 Coupè awarded ‘Grand Tourer’

DUBAI: In a demonstration of allaround performance Mercedes-AMG has garnered three awards at the 2015 Middle East Car of the Year (MECOTY) awards, held at the Raffles Hotel in Dubai on Thursday, 29 October 2015. Mercedes-AMG’s CLA 45 was awarded for the “Best Compact Executive Performance” while the GT S claimed the title of “Best Premium Performance Coupe” and S 63 Coupè “Grand Tourer”.

The Mercedes-AMG CLA 45, the Mercedes-AMG GT S and the Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupè are all definitive representatives of the AMG’s Driving Performance brand claim, embodying driving performance like no other vehicles in their segments.

Models included in the MECOTY categories underwent a stringent review process over a seven month period by a select panel of judges across the Middle East region. This makes MECOTY one of the most independent recognitions for car manufacturers.

Criteria on which entries were evaluated included: Design & Quality (Exterior & Interior), Emotional Appeal & Driver Satisfaction, Handling and Drivability, Value for Money (New Purchase & Resale), Safety & Durability, Comfort & Practicality, Performance & Capability, Environmental Friendly, Technological Innovation and Regional Appeal.

The Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 is available in the GCC with a starting price of $65,100. The Mercedes-AMG GT S is available in the GCC with a starting price of $155,500. The new S 63 CoupÈ is available in the GCC with a starting price of $203,400.
