Nuqat kicks off its activities on November 12 at ‘Al-Amricani’
The annual Nuqat creative conference is to launch its 2015 program on November 12. This year’s conference is entitled ‘Copy/Paste Syndrome.’ The conference enjoys generous support from governmental and non-governmental institutions that enable Nuqat’s contributions to creative education through diverse and unique ways.
Hussa Al-Humaidhi, a founding member of Nuqat, has stated her heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to all the supporters of the Nuqat Conference program since their support undoubtedly contributes to building a solid creative economy.
Humaidhi also pointed out that the support given by the governmental and private sectors have a resounding impact on Nuqat’s ongoing achievement of its goals as a non-profit organization designed to promote and develop creativity.
The governmental sector, represented by the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs, has contributed by supporting Nuqat in getting its message across to audiences through providing opportunities that allow Nuqat to promote their activities and programs.
It is also noteworthy to stress the efforts of the private sector and its effective support throughout Nuqat’s journey and successes over the years.
Humaidhi touched on some forms of this support from the private sector. She highlighted Alghanim Industries; one of the largest private companies in the region and a strategic partner of the conference this year and its sponsorship of Dr. Amar Behbehani’s workshop as part of this year’s conference activities as well as the ongoing support from Nuqat conference’s host Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah (DAI).
Humaidhi also commended LoYAC on its contribution this year, which enhances the conference activities indicating that LoYAC and Nuqat share a similar vision - its core aim being the progression of talented individual’s creativity and innovation. The unified and collaborative efforts of both parties will undoubtedly contribute to supporting youth creativity from the early years of their practice to their path as professionals.
Furthermore, IKEA’s and Tamdeen’s boundless role in supporting young talent, which has been continual since Nuqat Conference 2009 to this day, cannot be overlooked.
Innovative education Abdullateef Abdulazeez Al-Sharikh, Head of Corporate Communications at Alghanim Industries, praised Nuqat’s efforts in its advancement of innovative education. The Nuqat vision is consistent with the company’s goal to support and motivate creative talent, inspiring them to strive for the best. Sharikh noted that Alghanim Industries considers youth entrepreneurship as one of their key causes, and as such, spares no effort in supporting youth initiatives in Kuwait and the region.
Additionally, Abdullah Boushahri, director of the ADASA department at the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs, commented on the success of Nuqat’s art and culture programs. He noted Nuqat’s consistency in contributing fresh and innovative content to our cultural and artistic landscape. He said that the programming of Nuqat was entirely in line with the vision of ADASA and the strategy of the MSYA at large, for “our youth are our partners in sustaining our development as a nation, weaving together our national values and keeping them in place.”
