Amir, Crown Prince receive state officials
Amir congratulates KCCI Chairman on German award
KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at Bayan Palace yesterday. His Highness also received National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince received Ghanem, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem AlHumoud Al-Sabah, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Minister of Electricity and Water Sheikh Mohammad AlAbdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and Minister of Education and Higher Education Bader AlEssa.
Separately, His Highness the Amir sent a cable of congratulations to President of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ali Mohammad Thunayan Al-Ghanem on winning the Golden Leaf Award in the German city of Berlin. In his cable, His Highness the Amir praised Ghanem’s efforts in developing economic and cultural relations at regional and international levels. His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister sent Ghanem similar cables.
Also yesterday, His Highness the Amir sent a cable of condolences to King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa yesterday over the death of Sheikh Isa bin Ali bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister also sent similar cables to King Hamad.
In other news, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh patronizes Kuwait University celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the College of Engineering and Petroleum and conclusion of the global innovation and entrepreneurship conference, Kuwait Global Technopreneurship Challenge 2015. His Highness the Crown Prince will be represented by Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Ali Al-Omair in the ceremony to be hold Monday at Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Theatre in Al Khaldiya district.
Separately, the Amiri Diwan mourned on Sunday death of Sheikha Najma Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Sheikha Najma, who passed away at the age of 85, was laid to rest after Asr Prayers yesterday. — KUNA
