Urges people to support the trans community
The 66-year-old reality TV star - who was known as Bruce Jenner before her gender transition - recorded a video message on Thursday in which she encouraged people to accept transgender people into their lives. She said: “Listen to trans people’s stories, hire a trans person in your company, support a trans student in your school, love your trans child. Let’s all take action to put an end to hate and violence. “No one should be killed simply because they are transgender.” Caitlyn was joined by transgender advocate Chandi Moore, who also called on people to make the world safer for her community. She said:
