MoCI social media accounts hacked

KUWAIT: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry yesterday reported that its social media accounts on Twitter and Instagram had been hacked and that it was currently working on retrieving them. In a press release issued yesterday, the ministry stressed that the hackers had posted statements against certain people with the aim of settling personal scores with them. The ministry strongly denied any relation to such information and statements and promised to sue the hackers. The ministry stressed that it had reported the matter to relevant authorities concerned with e-crimes so that proper legal measures could be taken to track down the hackers and hold them legally accountable.
