22 Omani artists hold exhibition in Kuwait
KUWAIT: Paintings of 22 Omani artists have decorated the walls of the major exhibition hall of Kuwait Arts Association, depicting the beauty of the country, ranging from the traditional costumes, handicrafts, buildings, dances and games. The paintings were showing the market, woman, tradition of Oman, feminism, horse racing, sadu, life in general in Oman and story of colors, drawn in different types of painting tools.
Ali Al-Roumi, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, who represented Minister Hind Al-Subaih, told reporters Kuwait has always opened its doors for all Arab artists. He admired the paintings and the subjects they conveyed, which reflected the genuine Omani culture and tradition.
Chairman of Kuwait Arts Association Abdulrasoul Salman said the exhibition aimed at cementing the cultural bonds between Kuwait and Oman. He said art in Oman has been growing amidst an increasing awareness in culture.
