Soorya India Festival on Nov 27

In association with UAE Exchange, Soorya Kuwait Chapter will stage Soorya India Festival 2014, on Friday, November 27, 2015, at the Indian Community School Auditorium (Senior), Salmiya at 7:00 pm. Indian Ambassador Sunil Jain will inaugurate the festival, aiming to promote International integration through culture. Conceived by Soorya Krishnamurthy, the founder of Soorya India Stage and Film Society, Soorya will be presenting a Bharatanatyam recital by Sreelatha Vinod, a Kathak by Rajendra Gangani and an Odissi trio by Raul Acharya, Sonali Mahapatra and Gayatri Ranbir, all renowned artistes.

A growing dancer, Sreelatha Vinod will delight with her beautiful presence as she has an innate grace to charm the audience. Famous Kathak exponent Rajendra Gangani will enthrall the audience with his performance and the Odissi Trio will captivate with their scintillating performances, officials added. “The art lovers of Kuwait will have a new experience with the above combination of three oldest dances forms of India, officials added.

As usual, the entry will be strictly through invitations. Soorya India, led by versatile mastermind Soorya Krishnamurthy, is present in 36 countries. It has been propagating the art of India outside the country for the last 18 years with active support of its Chief Patron Dr B R Shetty, Managing Director, NMC Group of Companies.
