Kuwait do­nates $758,000 to aid Syr­ian refugees in Jor­dan

AM­MAN: Kuwait’s Am­bas­sador to Jor­dan Dr Ha­mad Al­D­u­aij has handed out a $758,000 worth of aid to two char­i­ta­ble so­ci­eties in Jor­dan to help im­prove the hu­man­i­tar­ian sit­u­a­tion of the Syr­ian refugees and needy in the King­dom.

About $450,000 of aid has been do­nated by Kuwait’s Al-Na­jat Char­i­ta­ble So­ci­ety to the Phi­lan­thropists So­ci­ety in the King­dom to sup­port or­phan­ages and the so­ci­ety’s bud­get, Am­bas­sador Al-Duaij stated to KUNA yes­ter­day.

The Ghanaem Al-Khair Foun­da­tion, an­other Kuwait­ibased char­i­ta­ble so­ci­ety, has also do­nated a $338,000 worth of aid to the Arab Med­i­cal Re­lief So­ci­ety in Jor­dan to sup­port the launch of the moth­er­hood and child­hood cen­ter in the Sheikh Sabah A-Ah­mad Al-Jaber AlSabah Vil­lage at Al-Zaatari camp, slated for 2016, in ad­di­tion to the Adahi (live­stock sac­ri­fices) project, said the Kuwaiti diplo­mat.

He re­it­er­ated the em­bassy’s will­ing­ness to fa­cil­i­tate all hu­man­i­tar­ian ac­tiv­i­ties car­ried out by Kuwaiti and Jor­da­nian char­i­ta­ble and re­lief so­ci­eties, and to over­come all ob­sta­cles that face sup­port­ing the hu­man­i­tar­ian sit­u­a­tions of the Syr­ian refugees in all around the King­dom. —KUNA
