The bidding process took months of stringent interviews, documentation and presentations, with participation from the biggest International brands in the Telecom Segment. Our team’s proposal emerged victorious at the end, and we are now gearing towards executing the solution within Southern Iraq and onwards to locations across the globe, in collaboration with our International partners”.

Rumaila is a supergiant oilfield located in Southern Iraq, and is operated by the Rumaila Operating Organization (ROO) - a joint venture between the biggest names in the O&G sector. ROO invited the Telecom industry’s finest to propose a solution that would connect its sites in Rumaila with its offices located across the globe in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

“Implementing this project brought up many challenges, especially given an underdeveloped sector like Iraq” said Mohammed. “Finding the right technology partners with the know-how to implement solutions for the available infrastructure and terrain in Iraq, roll-out schedules that clashed with unexpected weather conditions in Iraq and Europe, and the strict HSE standards were among the many challenges faced and conquered”. He added that Qualitynet’s teams are working onsite in Iraq and Europe at present, testing and implementing the solution as per the agreed roll-out schedules.

Mohammed underlined how this project showcases Qualitynet’s capabilities on a global scale. “A complex communications project of this size brings to the forefront our technical prowess and capability to execute even the most challenging of requirements in any given situation. We work with the best, employ proficient resources and deliver projects on-time in accordance with the highest of quality standards”, said Mohammed. He concluded by saying that this project has strengthened Qualitynet’s project portfolio both in Iraq and within the O&G Sector globally, and that the company is currently working on similar projects within the sector.
